Terms for website use, quotations and custom orders.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. Parties and scope

“Spot On”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Spot On Technologies Pty Ltd, operating through the Spot On Shutters manufacturing and project brand. “Customer” and “you” mean the person or entity using this website, requesting a quotation or placing an order. Project-specific documents take priority to the extent of a direct inconsistency with these general terms.

2. Website information

Website content is general information. Images, colours and room settings are illustrative and screens can display colour differently. Product suitability depends on the opening, environment, dimensions, installation method and confirmed specification. A website enquiry does not create an order or guarantee acceptance, price, timing or service-area coverage.

3. Quotations and acceptance

A quotation is valid for the period stated in it and covers only the listed scope. An order is accepted when the required written approval and payment or credit authorisation are received and Spot On issues or confirms the order. Verbal discussions and preliminary estimates do not vary the written scope.

4. Custom-made products

Plantation shutters are made or procured to confirmed specifications. Once an order enters procurement or production, it may not be cancelled or changed except with Spot On’s written agreement. Approved changes may affect price, lead time, delivery and compatibility with work already completed.

5. Measurements and order information

The party identified in the quotation or order is responsible for final measurements and supplied information. Where a customer or trade partner measures, Spot On may rely on the submitted dimensions, deductions, frame choices, layouts and site details. Manufacturing to accurately supplied but incorrect information is not a manufacturing defect.

6. Site conditions and installation

The customer must disclose relevant access, height, substrate, obstructions, hazardous material, incomplete building work and other site conditions. Unless installation is expressly included, supply does not include measurement, fitting, making good, electrical work, structural work or disposal. Work by third-party installers is subject to their own scope and responsibilities unless Spot On confirms otherwise.

7. Prices, tax and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include or exclude GST as stated. Deposits, progress payments, final payment, trade credit and late-payment consequences are set out in the quotation, invoice or approved trade terms. Spot On may pause procurement, production, delivery or installation if an amount is overdue.

8. Lead times and delay

Melbourne-made PVC systems typically take 1–3 weeks after a complete specification and order confirmation. Specialist imported PVC, timber and aluminium systems typically take 10–12 weeks. Individual timing can change due to project complexity, variations, site readiness, sourced materials, freight, events outside reasonable control or other factors identified in the order. A lead time is an estimate unless the accepted order expressly states a guaranteed date.

9. Delivery, inspection and risk

The customer must provide safe and reasonable delivery access and inspect packages and products promptly. Visible freight damage, missing packages or discrepancies should be recorded and reported with photos as soon as reasonably possible. Risk passes as stated in the accepted order and subject to applicable law. Title may remain with Spot On until all amounts due for the goods are paid, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Product variation and tolerances

Reasonable manufacturing tolerances and minor variation can occur. Timber is a natural material and can vary in grain, tone and movement. Colour can vary between materials, batches, samples, existing products and digital displays. Exact matching is not guaranteed unless expressly included in writing.

11. Warranty and claims

Voluntary warranty periods, conditions, exclusions, care requirements and the claim process are published in our Warranty. Claims should include proof of purchase, order details, a clear description and useful photos. Consumer guarantee rights continue to apply where applicable.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Spot On is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss caused by inaccurate information or work outside our scope, or delay outside our reasonable control. Where liability may lawfully be limited, the applicable remedy may be limited to repair, replacement, resupply or the reasonable cost of that remedy. This clause does not limit rights that cannot be limited by law.

13. Intellectual property

Website text, branding, graphics, photographs, video and documents are owned by or licensed to Spot On. They may not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission, except as allowed by law.

14. Privacy

Personal information and uploaded project photos are handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and the parties submit to the courts with jurisdiction there. Questions can be submitted through the contact form or by calling 03 8522 7775.
